Surgical Treatment For Oral Health Issues

Oral surgeries are procedures that involve the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases, injuries and defects of the hard and soft tissues of the face, mouth, teeth and jaws.

Whether you require a wisdom tooth extraction, dental implants or a frenectomy, our team can provide the care you need to help restore your oral health and help you achieve a smile that you can be proud of.

At Clayton Park Dental, our goal is to offer the least invasive approach when it comes to addressing dental issues, but there are times when surgical intervention is needed.

If you are hesitant to receive surgery, our dentists will take the time to thoroughly explain the procedure and answer any questions you might have.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a small titanium screw that functions like a natural tooth root. Our dentists can use a dental implant as the first step toward replacing a missing tooth. Once a dental implant has been placed, and you've had time to heal, a crown or bridge can be added to the implant to restore your smile.

Frenectomy

We perform frenectomies to remove a patient's frenum, which is a small piece of tissue that connects your tongue, lips, or cheeks to your gum area. When the frenum is limiting the function of the mouth it can cause people of all ages to become tongue-tied, lip-tied, or cheek-tied.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to emerge in the back of the mouth. If not removed, they can pose oral health issues such as infections and misaligned teeth. If your wisdom teeth are coming in, your dentist might suggest their removal to help preserve your oral hygiene and overall health.

Tooth Extractions

While it's always preferable to save a natural tooth, sometimes it's not possible. If a tooth is damaged beyond repair, due to decay, gum disease or injury, it may need to be removed. If you require a tooth extraction, we will discuss your options and even help you decide on the most appropriate tooth replacement option.
